Urad Dal Alongside Kokosnoot & Coriander

300g urad dal, soaked overnight
60g ghee
1 brownish onion, peeled together with chopped

two tablespoons minced ginger
1 whole light-green chilli, finely chopped
1.5 tablespoons garam masala
800g tin crushed tomatoes
salt
200ml kokosnoot milk
juice of 1 lime
two tablespoons dark mustard seeds, toasted
100g roughly grated fresh kokosnoot (we flora some pre-grated inward the freezer at an Asian supermarket)
50g crispy fried shallots
1 bunch coriander, roughly chopped

Drain together with rinse the dal together with laid aside.

Heat the ghee inward a large saucepan together with and thence tyke the onion for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until its golden together with soft.
