We spent a lovely weekend downwards at Ocean Grove amongst a gang of friends too the crusade dorsum through Melbourne seemed similar a proficient excuse to halt past times Bo De Trai for roughly lunch. It's a cosy footling Buddhist vego house inwards Footscray, too 1 that nosotros view far likewise infrequently. On this view nosotros stumbled across their special monthly total Luna menu, which offers a narrower range, presumably for religious reasons.
Cindy ordered the Com Ga Sa Ot, faux chicken inwards lemongrass too chilli on rice ($10). It was simply what Cindy was after, tender too nutty amongst a mild curry pulverization flavour. H5N1 watery sauce tipped over the rice brought it all together well.
I ordered off the specials board - a mock duck noodle soup amongst greens, mushrooms, roughly footling berries (maybe goji berries?) too a few other bits too pieces ($10). It was rich too warm, amongst a powerful boot from the birds-eye chilli pieces I sprinkled through.
Bo De Trai is a decent vego selection inwards Footscray - the staff are friendly (although non ever peculiarly efficient - the house is run past times volunteers!), the nutrient is inexpensive too everything we've had has been good. It's non a house for a fancy repast or somewhere that exudes ambience, but it's worth stopping inwards if you're later a quick, tasty meal.

Read most our previous visits to Be De Trai here too here. Since our final visit, MEL: HOT OR NOT has given it the thumbs up, but Chef John Smith was real unimpressed.

Ordering is at the tabular array amongst payment at a depression counter. The toilets are out the dorsum past times the kitchen via a slightly narrow passageway. They're unisex, but non peculiarly designed amongst accessibility inwards mind.
