The Lord Newry Hotel was our most recent pub companionship destination, ane of many unassuming 'locals' nestled inward Fitzroy North. It's warmly lit too heated, amongst a card of classics similar parmas, steaks, fish too chips, amongst a few burgers too a duet of pizzas on rotation. Gluten-free options expect rare, but the staff tin laissez passer the axe betoken out around adaptations. Vegetarian dishes are to a greater extent than abundant - there's an eggplant parma, pizza special, lentil shepherd's pie too a vegan burger.
Michael had a become at that vegan burger ($18), which features a pumpkin, walnut too rosemary pattie. It was huge, made an unholy mess too tasted practiced enough. The chips provided enterprise back-up.
The vegetarian pizza on offering had a sparse crunchy base, topped amongst grilled zucchini ellipses, ricotta too (apparently) mint ($14). It didn't convey quite the light, summery vibe I'd visualised but it was a comforting repast nonetheless.
