Clamps together with Bec continued our vegan Springvale tour amongst a halt at Dessert 1st. My subsequent googling has revealed that this Asian dessert cafe was laid past times Sheryl of Cupcake Central fame, inward partnership amongst her mum. It's a teen dream hang-out, crammed amongst posters, pipage popular music together with selling myriad permutations of inexpensive coloured carbohydrate - mix'n'match drinks together with bowls of dumplings, puddings, pearls together with jellies, ices, beans together with fruit. The walls present posters of pancakes together with other fritters non mentioned inward the laminated menu, together with then it's worth sitting together with staring inward bewilderment a land together with working out what you're almost inward the mood for. There aren't whatever dietary labels, together with then double-check that your alternative fits your needs at the counter.

Clamps together with Bec shared a cute pastel bowl of mixed puddings together with tapioca pearls ($5.50), Michael slurped a milk-based Thai iced java ($3), together with I picked Tangyuan ($5) from the posters (pictured top). Service was friendly but haphazard, simply fine for a casual cafe. We weren't surprised past times the charting RnB tunes the staff chose until they shifted to uncensored R. Kelly - an creative mortal amongst an abusive history together with real explicit lyrics. It was an unsavoury accompaniment to otherwise fantabulous mid-afternoon desserts.

Accessibility: I mean value Dessert 1st has a apartment entry; it's real crowded inside. I ordered together with paid at a depression counter; drinks were picked upwards from a high counter together with desserts were served to our table. We didn't catch the toilets.
