Eat Pizza Ii

Queen Margaret or The Moor's Head, but I was inward the mood for something less refined. With Plush Pizza directly simply a wistful memory, I convinced Michael that nosotros should revisit Eat Pizza - it offers the suburban Aussie toppings I had a hankering for.

Eat Pizza's basic carte is pretty typical - Hawaiian, Capricciosa too Meat lovers pizzas, gourmet chicken, meat too seafood options, garlic bread, a few pastas, salads too desserts. So's the decor - toppings too oven visible from the counter, plastic slice of furniture for those choosing to swallow in, too the TV inward the corner was blaring a fawning celebrity interview on threescore Minutes. The big draws for us pesky-tarians are the gluten gratis bases (which K gives a coeliac thumbs-up), vegan cheese, vegan salami too vegan ham that tin give the sack live substituted for a few extra dollars. Despite the veg*n bent of online reviews, it would seem that nosotros don't shape the mass of Eat Pizza's customers. Our friendly cashier looked unpractised at entering our veg-adapted orders into the register, eventually correcting the dockets past times hand.

The "Fresh too Healthier Way!" tagline is curious. While they previously advertised wholemeal bases, there's no hint of them on the electrical flow Eat Pizza menu. (We're non certain whether wholemeal is directly the solely base of operations offered or it's instead disappeared.) An Emma & Tom's advertizing was perched inward the dining area, even thus the refrigerator was stocked amongst sugar-laden sodas, 'vitamin waters' too icecream.

Never mind. We were hither for pizza. Michael's Vegie Delight (medium $12) amongst vegan salami ($2.50 extra), was a niggling charred too laden amongst Lycopersicon esculentum sauce, eggplant, pumpkin cubes, roast capsicum, semi dried tomatoes too fetta. He loved it inward all its semi-gourmet glory.

My pocket-sized Hawaiian pizza ($8 + $2 for vegan ham) took a niggling longer to arrive. Worse, it arrived amongst real ham. Once nosotros cleared upwards the misunderstanding the staff were real apologetic too whipped upwards a replacement promptly, serving it amongst a garnish of rocket too a minute sincere apology.

This pizza was everything I wanted - sweet, juicy canned pineapple, salty 'ham' too judiciously portioned mozzarella and  Lycopersicon esculentum sauce on a medium-thick not-too-oily base. The materials of an Aussie childhood.

It's awesome that Eat Pizza extend that Aussie-style pizza sense to veg*ns too the gluten-intolerant. Just live careful to double-check your club up-front!

You tin give the sack read close our kickoff sense amongst Eat Pizza here; that same eventide was also blogged on The Fairest Feed. Since too then they've impressed to a greater extent than of the veg community, including Vicki Vegan (who visited the Glenroy store), In the Mood for Noodles (twice), too Eat More Vegies.

The solely omni review I institute is on Footscray Food Blog; approximately other rave.
