Gasometer Vii

11/11/2013: We're sorry to study the closure of our honey Gasometer.

The first-class from one of our favourite pubs to... our other favourite pub! It turns out Gasometer has this dorsum room (behind the 'back room' nosotros did know about) fitted out alongside a piddling stage, lots of fairy lights too - you'll never believe it - a removable curved roof! We've withal to witness that stunt ourselves but sure Cherchez host Karen wouldn't spread such a fabulous lie.

Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 Tuesday nighttime Cherchez la Femme too happily coincides alongside Gasometer's special inexpensive carte du jour - for $15 you lot may guide 1 of vi meals (half of them vegan) addition a beer or wine. They're currently grieving the East Brunswick Club's demise past times offering a vegan parma - it's precisely equally thick-set equally the original, though Gaso guide made it their ain past times replacing the grated packaged vegan cheese alongside some sort of creamy sauce. It's a fine innovation!

The carte du jour had Michael at 'chorizo' - it's stuffed into a burrito, along alongside potatoes too rice. This was drier too blander than he would guide liked: Michael wanted to a greater extent than spice inwards the chorizo, less repetition across the spud filling/chip side, too some of my cheesy sauce to convey it all together. When Michael striking the bar for some other beer, he was horrified to witness some other diner with the cheese sauce smothering their burrito. Did they precisely forget it on his? Another burrito was delivered to Cherchez sauceless then it's hard to know.

Chips too veg are pretty measure sides but gosh, the Gasometer kitchen does them well. These chips are without peer, crunchy-fluffy-maybe-battery, too the vegetables retained a flake of seize alongside teeth too sported a squeamish subtle garlic butter-type dressing.

The reduced pricing doesn't hateful a reduced share - these meals were enormous! And unusually, ordering around 6pm, our nutrient arrived inwards a jiffy. Just the affair to fortify us for a few hours of feminist ground too hilarity.

Accessibility: The Gasometer has a modest pace on entry. The tables are crowded inwards some areas but the booths too tables closest to the entry are relatively spacious. Ordering too payment occurs at a high counter. Male too woman individual toilets are on the same degree equally everything else but are non specially spacious.
