Michael keeps a non bad optic on the Gertrude St goings-on, including the structure too opening of Casa Ciuccio. After a calendar week or thus of negotiation, nosotros gear upward a completely unnecessary too rather extravagant Fri dejeuner in that place amongst Mike too Jo.

Casa Ciuccio comes from the people behind Bar Lourinha too boasts its ain coal pit. The stars, though, were these buñuelos ($12), warm doughnuts studded amongst melting chocolate sitting atop a hazelnut sauce.

We received flawless service throughout our take in too the forepart room was a lovely house to transcend a yoke of (!) weekday hours. And land nosotros enjoyed everything nosotros ate, I don't squall upward this was worth $40pp. It's clear that the veg-friendly dishes are intended to accompany the meats too they don't actually transcend equally a repast themselves. The 1 lentil dish on the carte du jour includes morcilla - that's in all likelihood a dot that I should seek my legumes too meat-free fine dining elsewhere.
